COVID-19 Information

July 23, 2020 Update:

Hey there New Hope Eugene! A quick, but important COVID update for you...

What?

As you may have heard, Governor Kate Brown has added some additional restrictions to group gatherings- no more than 100 people per venue - effective Friday July 24th. As of now, churches fall under this venue category.

Because of this, we’ve decided it is best for New Hope Eugene to solely go back to online church for the foreseeable future

When?

We will begin immediately, starting this weekend. We will host four services at our normal times- 6PM Saturday, 8:30AM Sunday, 10AM Sunday and 11:30AM Sunday.

Why?

  1. What is most loving for our community? We have to keep in mind our posture of safety for our community, as well as what our decisions and actions communicate to a community needing to see and hear Jesus. Our community witnessing our adherence to guidelines conveys a clear message of love and care.
  2. What is the best stewardship of our staff and resources? Options to offer live services under the new guidelines seemed to lead to more work than is sustainable for our team. We believe this decision presents the best scenario to best leverage our resources for the Kingdom.

Who/How?

How is the campus affected? This is different from quarantine in that the campus is still open. Groups that have been meeting on campus will continue to meet and our offices and staff remain open and available by appointment only.

A couple of events in particular- a) Move up Mania is still happening this Saturday from 1-4PM! b) Discover U is still happening on August 8th - get signed up!

Questions? We'd love to hear from you, just email !

New Hope, I want to encourage you in all the chaos, fatigue, and frustration- Jesus is not surprised. The Spirit is still moving and we believe is doing something unique, special, and big in His Church! And in this, we know a couple of things...

  1. The church is not a building- it’s you... it’s PEOPLE!
  2. Jesus is building His church- you/us- and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it!

We love you, we’re praying for you, and we look forward to seeing you online this weekend for the next installment of our series Our Living Hope.

- Pastor Brandon
