Why do we call it "Frontlines" Ministry?

The term "Frontlines" comes from a story in the Bible in 2 Chronicles 20 where King Jehoshaphat goes against the armies of Moab and Ammon.  In the story, instead of sending the army first, he sends out worshippers ahead of the army - the FRONTLINE of the battle to sing praise to God.

"Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the Lord and to praise Him for the splendor of His holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying: 'Give thanks to the Lord, for His love endures forever.'  As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated."  ~ 2 Chronicles 20:21,22

Here at New Hope, we believe that God accomplishes great things in the lives of people as we seek to worship Him first and trust His power, rather than our plans, to accomplish His purposes in our church and community.  Therefore, our Frontlines team exists to declare God's praise and to communicate the Gospel of Jesus in creative ways that reach a heart.
