New Hope Eugene was founded and built upon one mission, a mission known as the Great Commission. Jesus’ very specific challenge to all believers is that we would “Go into all the world and make disciples of all nations." We are passionate about that mission and that passion fuels everything we do.
This weekend, November 17th & 18th, we will once again be taking our annual Harvest Offering. This additional offering is used for a single and vital purpose – to fulfill our mission. This offering allows us to bring the Good News of Jesus to those who have yet to experience new life in Him. Whether it’s through local events like “The Lights of New Hope” or supporting International ministries to end human trafficking, these efforts share one common thread – they are our mission. It is our hope that all of us would participate in a significant and God directed way, partnering together to fund these ministries that are so close to God’s heart. Together, we can walk in God's purpose, and together we can trust God for His harvest.
We also wanted to bring to mind a couple of exciting things happening at NHE over the next few weeks.
To make room for the Lights of New Hope, our Saturday services on December 8th & 15th will be moved to 4pm.
Christmas Eve Candlelight Services
Saturday December 22 6:00pm
Sunday December 23 10:00am 11:30am 6:00pm
Monday December 24 4:00pm
Each of these identical services are always special and to make room for guests we are encouraging everyone to park offsite and take the "Christmas Shuttle". This 2-minute ride from O’Hara Middle will be a fun experience for all ages and will run during ALL services.
As we head towards the close of this year, we're reminded of how faithful God is to provide for our needs and also for us as a church. At the heart of New Hope is the strongest passion to reach people that don’t know Jesus. As you pray about what your investment will be in this year’s Harvest Offering, we will trust God to provide for the many ways we as a church invest in changing lives.
It is a joy and honor to serve the King with you.
